Our Mission
At Haven Springs Ranch, we offer a safe place for youth who have experienced trauma to find compassion, trust, and hope.
The staff at Haven Springs Ranch will work effectively with youth who have been exposed to acute or chronic trauma who are at risk of developing stress reactions by using a trauma-informed model of communication and care to build resilience and develop a sense of safety.
We will connect each participant with a mentor who will assist the youth to build a relationship with a horse and learn natural horsemanship skills to facilitate teaching safety, respect, trust, leadership, boundaries and confidence.
“The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; They will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40:28-31
